Thickening tongue: Is it sudden? Are you drooling ,having difficulty speaking or swallowing? Could be allergic reaction to food or other material, take a benedryl ( if not allergic to it) and seek medical attention immediately in ER. Long term thickening can be due to acromegaly, thyroid disease, amylodosis. See a doctor
