Is honey good for canker sores?

Not really.: It tastes good, but really doesn't do much. Prompt treatment with topical steroids such as OraGel is your best bet.

Better alternatives: Not sure about honey as a healing component for canker sores, but there are other alternatives out there. There are several over-the-counter ointments to consider. Prevention may also be your best option, (avoiding certain foods, supplements, meds, beverages) if you get the sores quite often.
