Breakthrough: Breakthrough bleeding is common and is typically due to hormonal imbalances between estrogen and progesterone. At age 22, this would be most common. Other reasons include thyroid issues, bleeding disorders, weight (thin/heavy). If continues, see your doctor so you can be tested.
