A member asked:

What are the long term effects of low eye-ball pressure?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Why low?: The long term effects depend on the cause, and how low it is. There is no cause of naturally low pressure at a dangerous level. Most low pressure occurs after surgery, eye disease and trauma. The eye wants the pressure to be above 5 or so, but if the pressure is below 2, the vision may drop due to posterior edema and instability of the components. An eye with no pressure stops seeing.
