Saline irrigation: If the bacteria are sensitive to Amoxicillin, the dose is adequate. Usually by day 3-4 a person will notice some improvement. However, sometimes, sinusitis may require up to 3 weeks' treatment to totally clear. It will help to do sterile saline nasal rinses. Lying on your back and leaning head over bed below body, spray into nostril then move your head to both sides and back, then gently blow.
