Give it time: If the area is clean and healing, don't worry. Follow up with the oral surgeon as scheduled, but call sooner if the area puffs up, has drainage or you get a fever.

Depends: The discomfort and stiffness can vary depending upon what type of extractions- bony/impacted, tissue impacted/ infection present prior to extraction, etc. If these symptoms persist, call the dentist/oral surgeon.
