A member asked:

What are the odds that citalopram will decrease sex drive? does this happen often or is it a less common side effect on average?

Can happen: Decreased libido is definitely on the list of things that can happen, but it's not permanent! Often the symptom decreases and resolves after taking the medication for a while. Don't change the medicine dosing on your own; talk to your doctor about the symptom and possible solutions.

60%: Some studies show that around 60% of women on SSRIs (medications like Citalopram) will have a marked decrease in sex drive. Its a common problem with this type of medication. Best wishes!
