Yes: A brace to support the knee is the first order of business. Ice for first 24hrs, get evaluated by a medical doctor...if needed, imaging study will define extent of damage....ligament/cartilage; needful treatment.

Yes: Be seen today and do not try to walk on your injured leg until you are given clearance by the doctor seeing you. The problem could be a tendon or meniscus issue. Use ice for 10 minutes every 30 minutes to help pain and probable swelling and do not put any weight on your right knee. Use crutch or equivalent as needed. Go to ER if your doctor is not available.

Pop!GoesTheKneesel: You need somethin! Yeah, get to a doc for an exam. Doesn't need to be the hospital. The doc will decide what tests to do. Locking is a sign of something in the joint, most probably a displaced piece of cartilage. There's a fair chance it will fall back into place but you should see someone. If it's really true that you can't walk you have a choice: get crutches and make an appointment or ER now.
