The surgeon: would likely need to determine if the surgical procedure was for functional or for cosmetic reasons.

Partially: If you have a deviated septum or nasal valve obstruction then the functional part of the nasal surgery may be covered by insurance. The cosmetic portion of a rhinoplasty is not covered by insurance.
