Hearing: Your baby should DEFINITELY "seem" to hear, orienting his head toward the sound, quieting to your voice. What was his birth history? Did he get a newborn screen at birth? What was the result? Any family history of hearing loss? Be sure and have him evaluated by your pediatrician for your regularly scheduled visits, and inquire specifically about newborn screen results from hospital.
