No . Not usually.: Please see your internist and you may need to see an eye care physician as well. Please do not keep simply keep taking pain relievers. You need to make sure to see a physician to make sure there is nothing serious. This could be a mild sinus problem or simple need for glasses but it can also be a serious issue involving your central nervous system.

Not normal or ideal: Ideally if it were up to me no one would have headaches or eye pain. There are many causes that are possible, although in your case eye strain first springs to mind. Therefore, you should see an eye doctor also called an Opthamologist and also see a Neurologist for a thorough evaluation and examination which will likely include a MRI,for further evaluation of the headaches. Occipital neuralgia: involves the greater and lesser occipital nerves located in the back of the scalp and can produce neck pain as well as headache with radiated pain to the top of the head and behind the eye. See your PCP for evaluation and preventive treatment.
