Should not: Kidney is designed to hold on to protein and not let it into the urine. +1 protein in urine, would check again in a week to a month. If + again, needs to be worked up. If negative, recheck one more time in a month. If neg, recheck again in about 6 mo. If neg again, then not to worry. If +, needs work up. Hope this helps. Best of luck. Dr R
