Discoloration around my mouth is occuring. its recent. sometimes around my mouth is red. lotion causes the area to sting. why?

Remember Hot Lips??: If you lick your lips or your skin is dry in that sensitive area then most lotions will sting. Maybe you have a food sensitivity (commonly citrus). So find out the cause and stop it and use a neutral lotion (check with the pharmacist). If nothing helps then you may need to see a dermatologist. There are other medications for this.
