Possible: It is possible if the two antibiotics you are on do not cover group A beta hemolytic strep, but unlikely. The vast majority of throat infections are viral.

Yes: it depends on the antibiotic but did you test positive with strep or did you have a viral sore throat. There are many causes of sore throats so be tested for strep Sometimes a culture and sensitivity needs to be done to see what the organism is sensitive to Follow up with your provider
