Congratulations!: Now that your bodyis not chronically irritated by the smoke and chemicals, the cilia in your lungs are becoming mobile again. Your body is starting to move old mucous and damaged cells out of your lungs. This should resolve soon. If not, seek medical care. Good luck!!

Give it more time.: Sometimes, smokers feel worse in the 2 week time period after immediately quitting. Likely due to the healing process taking place in the airways. Just take some cough syrup or ask your PCP for an inhaler. The symptoms should eventually get better. Please don't start smoking again.
