Call your ENT: Your questions and concerns are best addressed with the ENT who actually knows what was seen ("lesions" is very nonspecific and gives me no real idea of what was seen) and can better explain they time suggested for recheck. Open dialogue is important with a doctor-patient relationship. Let them know if you are not improving or believe you are worsening. Take care of yourself :)

VOICE LOSS: Did you completely lose your voice or just breathy? what was the "lesion"? this is a generic, non-descriptive term. Was this a nodule, a polyp, ulcer, mass or just vocal cord edema from inflammation or voice abuse? Are you a smoker? What was prescribed? antibiotic, anti-reflux, steroids, voice rest etc? too many unknowns to answer your question. Call your doctor .to get explanation for 8 wk wait
