Go to the ER: If you are having difficulty breathing you should seek medical attention immediately. I don't know the details of your situation but this sounds like at the very least a severe episode of tonsillitis, if not peritonsillar abscess. If an abscess is present this would need to be drained. Otherwise you likely need antibiotics and steroids to decrease the swelling quickly.
