Can i prep for a colonoscopy with a salt water flush instead of the doctor recommended laxatives?

Standard prep: Study is only as good as preparation. It's important the colon be as clean as possible so as not to hide small lesions or vascular malformations. Each endoscopist has his favored prep. Saline enema would be inadequate.
