Persistent bleeding: Slight oozing once in awhile, even 5 days later is not of concern, as long as the socket is healing and the amount of bleeding is decreasing in frequency and degree. If that is not the case, you need to have the dentist who did he extraction evaluate the area. High blood pressure, as well as certain medications may produce more bleeding than usual.
