When diplopia is involved and scleral buckle is going to be removed to help, who removes the buckle, a retinal surgeon or a strabismus surgeon?

Depends how it's: staged in your corrective surgery. It could involve having both surgeons available to do their own part during your surgical case, if it's in the same group practice or not. Or it can be done separately if the procedure is done back to back. Discuss this with ur strabismus surgeon, and s/he will tell you how it's typically done for your situation so that you are reassured that it's being safely!
