Disc bulge: Intervertebral discs are soft structures between the bony vertebrae of the spinal column that function as 'shock absorbers'. They care referred to as bulging, herniated, slipped, etc. when they become malpositioned due to age or trauma. These discs may press on nerves as they live the spinal canal, creating pain and weakness. Practicing good ergonomics and core strengthening is important.
