Signs of labor: Vaginal spotting after 35 wks doesn't carry the worry of losing your baby as it does in the 1st trimester. The most important thing is to make sure your baby moves every day. 1-1/2cm dilation is not unusual, but is a good sign that you may deliver vaginally & not by Cesarean. Depending on how close you are to the hospital, your contractions need to be 5-7 min apart to expect your cervix to open.
