Don't rush: The contractions should be lasting at least a minute and you should not be able to walk through them. Talk to your doctor if you think your water has broken and before you go back to the hospital.

Hard question: That is always a hard question to answer. What you learned from your experience on labor and delivery that you were not in labor. When the contractions increase to something more than what you were experiencing it may be time to go back.
