A member asked:

My 13 yo daughter has a lump in her breast and when she lies down she can't feel it. is this normal?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can be normal: It is not uncommon to feel lumps and bumps in breast tissue, especially when beginning puberty. Many things can cause lumps and some questions your doctor should ask incl: has she started her period, is the lump painful, is there visible swelling or redness, is there nipple discharge, has she been sick recently, does she have a fever, how long has the lump been there? Schedule appt with her doc
