Eardrum pain: you could have an infection or void behind the eardrum. You need to see your doctor for an otoscope exam of the ear.

Inflammation: Is it possible that the problem is either outer or middle ear. It is unlikely coming from the inner ear. The eardrum is probably inflamed due to your allergies and may not be moving correctly. Loud noises make the eardrum move more, thereby causing more pain. You do need to have the ear examined by a doctor. Other possibilities include wax, growth such as cysts, and rarely tumors.
