Thyroid: You need to see an endocrinologist and have a proper exam with blood tests to determine the proper medication

Thyroid testing: The TSH is the most commonly ordered thyroid blood test, but additional tests are required to determine if the thyroid is functioning optimally. The two thyroid hormones are T4 and T3 (liothyronine). Reverse T3 (liothyronine) is also a hormone, but block action of T3 (liothyronine). See your doctor or endocrinologist for a complete evaluation and exam if concerned about thyroid function.
