Likely UTI: Symptoms of a urinary tract infection can include urinating more frequently than usual, burning/pain with urination, and foul smelling urine. If severe, there can be fever or even back pain as the infection travels upwards towards the kidneys. A primary care physician can diagnose and treat a urinary tract infection properly. If not infection, other less likely possibilities exist.

UTI: These symptoms are classic for a bladder infection or UTI. See a health care provider for evaluation. They will likely order an analysis of the urine (UA) to look for infection and other causes. Bladder infections are generally treated with an antibiotic. Another medication can be given to ease discomfort while the antibiotic works.
