Depends - talk to OB: Each hospital and medical practice have their own rules, and there are pros & cons to inducing in your situation. Elective inductions should never be scheduled before 39 weeks because of serious risks to baby from prematurity. Induction, especially in a first-time mom, increases your chance of ending up needing a c-section. Talk to your OB about what is right for you.
