It may: The Plan B emergency contraception pill is a high dose of progestin. It is intended to prevent or delay ovulation. It also may interfere with fertilization of an egg, or implantation of a fertilized egg in the uterus. So, go ahead and take it, the sooner the better for contraception. Continue using the most reliable form of contraception you are comfortable with. Good wishes!

Yes: Emergency contraception can be used at any time during the menstrual cycle. Take as soon as possible. Take care.
