Yes. : The tonsils have lots of blood vessels in them. It usually will stop quickly as the mouth lining heals fast. Gargle with salt water. You likely vomited because you were near the back of the throat which has a 'gag reflex'. Hope that helps!

Little rough: Gargling usually will free it without rough use of stick. Most likely you caused some trauma to the tonsil. If bleeding is continuing, you should see you doctor.
