Not usually: Enlarged lymph nodes represent some sort of inflammation, often infectious in nature, that will resolve once the underlying problem resolves. Apply steroids to the skin overlying the node usually has limited to no effect. There are other types of "lumps" in the armpit that will respond to steroids though, but these diagnosis are best made through an inperson evaluation.
