A member asked:

If your lymph nodes become swollen and inflamed due to responding to a bacterial infection in your body, will they go down if you apply antibacterial cream directly to the node? this is what dr advised for my bilateral swollen under arm nodes?

That would not help at all. Probably you misunderstood your doctor, or maybe you asked the question in a way that led to the answer you wanted to hear. It's hard to imagine any physician really believes that antibiotics applied to the skin over an inflamed lymph node would speed clearing it up.
