Need more details: When was your surgery? what was it for? Postoperative pain is very common but timing is key. Are there changes overlying the skin? Is it red? Was there hardware inserted in the surgery? You should see a surgeon in that field if you are very concerned. Things that could cause this include infection, arthritis, muscle strains, tendon sprains, nerve compression, etc.
