Maybe/not: Pain originates from nerve fibers. An MRI detects structural abnormalities. Unless they detect some structural abnormality that would affect the nerves, this may not detect anything at all. There are conditions where viral infections can trigger localized nerve inflammation. Inflammatory neuritis is a label commonly used for this. You need to discuss this with your primary doc.
