Mild burning left tonsil for 4 mos. ent examined me / scoped 2x, had mri, saw nothing, tried antibiotics and gerd meds. no change. any ideas?

Tonsil discomfort: You certainly had a complete workup. Tonsillith or tonsil stone is a possibility. Do you smoke? You may want to consider tonsillectomy for definitive diagnosis and potential treatment.

Tonsil pain: Agree w dr. Azar. Only thing missing (as suggested) is possible biopsy. Also, make sure the x-rays are evaluated thoroughly for abnormalities in the deeper tissues, blood vessels, spine, muscles, and other bony processes at the base of the skull and neck.
