Right or left: Generally by age 3-4 years but often preschool or kindergarten. Hope this helps.

To soon to tell: Any kid who shows hand preference as a toddler is abnormal. It would be a sign to me the kid has a form of cerebral palsy and uses his/her better hand.By the time they get to 4 or so you will see most have selected a preference. A few never do.
