Is blood thinner so:: Holy Basil is a wonderful herb with many benefits but has mild blood thinning effects so it is advised to be cautious if also taking blood thinners like aspirin and plagril. It is not known if this is clinically significant and I think it is unlikel to be an issue if you drink only 1 or 2 cups a day. See http://www.rxlist.com/holy_basil-page3/supplements.htm#Interactions
