A member asked:

M58,10mg norvasc (amlodipine) gives head ache, dizziness, palpitation so may i take 5mg norvasc (amlodipine) with cetirizine dihydrochloride, this keeps my bp low. what u say?

OK: Many people who tolerate 5 mg of Norvasc (amlodipine) have side effects on 10 mg. If the cetirizine works for you, that's a good solution, but understand: cetirizine doesn't usually lower BP. An alternative solution if your BP is not well controlled is to take 5 mg of Norvasc (amlodipine) and add an ACE-inhibitor which is good for your diabetes too - like lisinopril. In the US, lisinopril is much less expensive than Norvc
