Thyroid, how to check and deal with ?

Thyroid: the thyroid is checked by palpating of the gland itself to check for nodules and size. Blood tests are performed to check its function. Treatment if any is based on the findings of those initial evaluations and any secondary tests done based on those initial evaluations.

Thyroid: These best test for thyroid function is a blood test for TSH. A normal level is a TSH between about 0.5-5.5 uU/mL but each laboratory may have a slightly different normal range. The best test for thyroid nodules is an exam. If the exam is abnormal, then a thyroid ultrasound should be performed.
