More Information: Your question is interesting when I see that you have had a number of "sophisticated" cardiac tests. Yes one heartbeat initiates circulation at a given pressure but a lot of disorders affect the VESSELS which require the heart to beat at a higher pressure. Hope this helps! Dr Z
