My cat just clawed my neck right on top where my caroited artery is. it's a very small hole. could she have punctured my artery?

Highly unlikely: If your cat had punctured your carotid artery you would have been spurting blood all over the place not sitting and typing at your computer. This is one thing you do not have to worry about.

It happens: It will heal over time. I don't think it is a life threatening condition.

Not likely: You really are the worrying type, aren't you? Your caroited artery is inside a sheath of connective tissue along with the jugular vane. Arteries have much thicker walls than vanes and are under much higher pressure. A caroited arterial puncture would squirt blood out several inches at least and you'd lose a lot of blood. Most likely source of bleeding is a little superficial vane in the skin.
