Not cancer: but you are clearly having trouble with use of your voice and this can be a significant problem over time. I suggest you see an otolaryngologist (an ENT) and have her check your vocal cords. After you are assured that all is normal then you will likely benefit from a few sessions with a speech therapist who can show you how to protect your voice.
