A member asked:

Dislocated left shoulder two months ago. did proper therapy. when i overhead press, my left shoulder seems odd as if doesn't exists. what's up?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Don'tPressIt,You Dip: When you dislocate a shoulder there's a lot in there that can get ripped-up. That takes several months to heal. A nerve that goes to the skin on the shoulder can get banged, too, leaving it feeling funny for a while. The overhead press and the shoulder dip should be done with caution--don't push it too much. Let this thing heal more. Four or six months. Work up to it gradually. No rush, right?
