If your child has breath holding spells and has had few siezures (not true ones) with the spells should you see a neurologist?

Develop/Behavior Ped: You may find a good source in a well experienced pediatrician or developmental/behavioral pediatrician. Other sources i rely on are licensed professional counselors who work with kids & families. Learning the skills of positive ignoring & positive parenting will often help this troubling behavior fade.

How do you know: The seizures are real or false? First ask your pediatrician. A single seizure in of itself is ok - for instance febrile seizures can occur and I do not think require workup unless you have a second seizure. But if you do get an MRI go to a pediatric hospital and ask for a 3t mri.
