No: This would not cause a seizure. The need to breathe would be overwhelming well before any lack of oxygen to the brain would occur.

Seizure ?: A loss of oxygen that causes a brain injury can cause a seizure. I have seen patients with a heart attack present as a seizure due to a loss circulation. Holding the breath usually is not long enough to cause damage to cause a seizure. Was it really a seizure? After a seizure people typically have confusion and suppressed alertness. Was it a vasovagal event? (temporary loss of consciousness )
