A member asked:

Could chronic sporadic ruq pain, be related to really tender points in my back t10/t11. comes in waves not food or bm related or biliary ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Absolutely: I have diagnosed many patients with abdominal pain referred from the spine. Additionally, nerve impingement from a herniated disk can certainly cause paraspinal muscle tenderness at that level. A herniation at T10/11 would typically be in the upper abdomen. Association with eating would suggest otherwise, as would tenderness over the abdomen.
