Black mold: The myth that black mold is any more harmful than any other mold is just that, a myth. Mold spores can cause a cough and wheeze in someone allergic to the mold. If your child is allergic to mold spores and there is an extensive mold problem in the home, he needs to stay elsewhere. Or, he could just have a cold.
