A 22-year-old male asked about a 23-year-old female:
et is 4.7mm and dominant follicle 14 x 11 x 8 mm. this was on ovulation day according to app. when will i ovulate? could i already have?

Doubtful: At the time of ovulation the dominant follicle will be at least 18 mm in diameter and the ET will be 8 mm or more. You probably have not ovulated yet based on the information you provide. The follicle can enlarge at a rate of 1 to 3 mm per day - so you could ovulate in another 3 to 7 days. good luck.

A 30-year-old female asked:
If a folicle is 11mm on day 12 and i ovulate on day 16 will the folicle grow enough to ovulate as normal on day 16?

Follicular growth: The normal rate of follicular growth is 2-3 mm/day, and a mature follicle is 16 mm or larger. It would seem more likely that you will ovulate sooner than day 16 if your follicle is 11 mm on cd 12.

A 26-year-old female asked:
Is follicle size 13.5 on day 13 normal..?! will i ovulate this time

Small: The follicle usually reaches 18 to 20 mm when it is ready to ovulate. In the days preceding ovulation, follicles usually grow approximately 1 mm per day. Based on your number, i would guess you will be ovulating in 5 to 6 days, but this is just a guess, and it may be that you won't ovulate at all this cycle. Unfortunately it's hard to tell in advance what will happen. Would luck!

Count back: To try to estimate when you ovulated, if you count back 14 days from your period, that was when you ovulated. It won't help you in trying to time sex that month, but may help with future months.

14 days before perio: You ovulate about 14 days before your expected period. Generally the follicle will be 18mm or more at that time.
