See a doctor: The sensation of food constantly stuck could be related to partial obstruction, either from something in the esophagus or from a growth from outside pressing on the esophagus, such as an enlarged thyroid or growth in the larynx. A motility disorder of the esophagus might also cause this symptom. Best to see your doctor for examination and appropriate tests.

Several things: This can be caused by problems with your esophagus, such as esophageal stricture or web (narrowing or extra soft tissue). It can also be caused by enlarged thyroid. A condition called 'eosinophilic esophagitis' produces narrowing as well. In some instances, esophageal cancers cause a narrowing there as well, although 38 is rather young. Also, anxiety can produce spasms. See your doctor.
