See a pulmonologist: Alpha-1 Antitrypsin deficiency is a genetically transmitted disease affecting other organs, but primarily the lung. It has a higher than normal risk of declining lung function, especially if he is a smoker. For best management, he should see a pulmonologist for reccommendations
